St Vincent’s
Furniture Store

Lesley visited this Charity last year meeting the office
staff, drivers and witnessing first hand the furniture
and household goods delivery and collection process.
One office manager and 3 volunteers co-ordinate the
collections and deliveries by five drivers.
The Trust provides funding for one of these essential
drivers. Lesley was able to see the driver was a
necessary addition to ensure the smooth running of an
essential service.
SVFS has helped over 2000
clients in Sheffield area during 2009/10 by providing
furniture for those suffering hardship through domestic
abuse, long term sickness, release from hospital or
prison etc.
SVFS has had to move to bigger premises where they can
store all the furniture they received on one site making
distribution management easier.
The fund raiser is Ralph Dickins pictured left.
